LAKE MELIQUINA AND MELIQUINA VILLAGE

Modality: Excursion by minibus with guide and stops.

This guided excursion begins by picking up passengers at their hotels and then going east of San Martín de los Andes.

    We start travelling along the first 15 miles of the Seven Lakes Road and then turn into a gravel road that takes us to Villa Meliquina.

   It is a small mountain city fully supplied by renewable energy. Located on the shores of a lake in a glacial valley and surrounded by the Andes mountains, it is the place where we stop to get to know it.

   We continue our way to the east visiting Filo Hua Hum Lake where we enjoy a snack.

    Then we travel to an old cave called Casa de Piedra, where primitive men lived thousands years ago.

   On the way back, we stop by the Cajón del Río Caleufu where the Caleufu River narrows, forming a canyon surrounded by stones with curious shapes.

n our way back, we will have a stunning aerial view of the city of San Martin de los Andes as we approach it. We will make a stop at Mirador de Arrayan, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
